Eccles Fellowship Program
The Honors Eccles Fellows Program encourages faculty to develop their teaching and scholarly interests through teaching in the Honors Program. An Eccles Fellow develops and teaches a new class on a topic related to their scholarly interests.

Application Information
- You may teach individually or with one other colleague.
- Strong preference for interdisciplinary classes connected to faculty research interests.
- Priority given to courses that contribute to both Honors and the broader Weber community.
- A single proposal should be submitted for team-taught courses.

Please Note
- The course may be new or a previously taught HNRS course.
- Eccles Fellows are encouraged to use HNRS 3900 for presentations and publications.
- Department Chair approval is required for release time.
- Release time must be taken in the same semester as teaching.
- Eccles Fellows may not teach overload during release time.
- Fellows are encouraged to participate in Honors events.

About the Fellowship
The Eccles Fellowship supports faculty in developing new Honors courses connected to their scholarship and teaching interests. Fellows receive:
- Three credits of release time, supported by the Honors Program, to develop their course and pursue related research or scholarly work
- A $3,000 course development grant to support the design, materials, and enrichment of their Eccles course
