SUMMER CAMPS

 

Attending summer camps at Weber State University provides kids with a unique opportunity to explore the university environment on the Ogden campus and become comfortable with being on campus, encouraging familiarity with higher ed as a possible future. Summer camps allow kids to engage in fun and educational activities while getting familiar with the campus layout, facilities, and community.

Mountain Bike Camp

Ages: Rising 7th-9th Graders
Cost: $200 
Dates: Monday June 1st-Friday June 5th, 2026
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Mountain biking is the fastest-growing youth sport in America, and Utah has the largest number of young riders in the country. Participants will learn about bike maintenance and technical mountain bike riding. To make sure participants are ready for the trail, they will also learn basic wilderness first aid. Exercise physiologists and dieticians will join us to help talk about sports performance for training before and on race day. Lunch is included thanks to ENVE, our title sponsor. Our participants will work with ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø college students and faculty to enhance their leadership skills.

The Center for Technology Outreach utilizes resources, partnerships, and faculty expertise to promote and recruit for the Engineering, Applied Science & Technology College, which benefits future learners, business, industry, education, government, and society through our commitment to offer high-quality programs and outreach.

Camps include topics covering engineering, programming, STEM, coding, creation, mechanics and more!

Ages and costs vary per camp.

³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø Medical Academy

Ages: 15+Cost: $350 - Cancellations will result in a forfeiture of 50% of the cost Dates: July 13 -16, 2026 (overnight)

The ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø Medical Academy will help students determine if a career in the healthcare industry is right for them. They will learn how to best prepare for admission to professional schools and make the most of their college experience by ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø student mentors. ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø faculty members will lead discussions and hands-on laboratory activities. Attendees will explore the benefits of a clinical career with local healthcare professionals and patients who have experienced their expert care. The camp will provide invaluable opportunities to network with ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø professors and other professional specialists that will aid them in their professional endeavors.
