This provides the perfect context to explore psychological research on motivation, stress and coping, emotional regulation, physical activity, emotions, relationships, mindfulness, and healthy behaviors. Many of the activities we will be engaging in are targeted specifically for examining mental well-being. Students can compare their own assumptions about happiness and a fulfilling life with the ways these concepts are expressed in Italian culture.

Criminal Justice in South Korea
July 5 - July 16, 2027 | CJ 4950 or MCJ 6920
Program Director: Dr. Heeuk Dennis Lee
South Korea provides a valuable setting for the comparative study of criminal justice. Historically, Korean society has been characterized by a relatively high degree of cultural and ethnic homogeneity, although the country has become increasingly diverse in recent decades. South Korea also experiences comparatively low levels of many forms of violent and property crime relative to the United States. Korean society has traditionally emphasized values such as social harmony, group consensus, collectivism, and conformity. These cultural characteristics may influence public attitudes toward social order, authority, crime, and the administration of justice. Examining these social and cultural factors provides students with an opportunity to consider how broader societal values may shape criminal justice institutions and practices.
