Scholarships Available to MFET, MSE, PDD (formerly DET), ME, and MET Students

To apply for scholarships:

  1. Apply for admission to Weber State University. Once admitted to Weber, you are automatically considered for academic scholarships based on the information you provided on your application
     
  2. Complete the ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø Financial Aid & Scholarship Application found in your eWeber portal.  This application MUST be filled out every year!
     
  3. Fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

This application MUST be filled out every year!

The FAFSA deadline is April 1st

The following scholarships are available:

Engineering Technology Scholarships: (available to all ET students)

  • Alex Engineering Technology
    • Must be a US citizen
    •  Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Behnken Engineering
    •  Must be a US citizen
    • Must be attending full-time (12-18 credit hours)
    • Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
    • Must have financial need
  • Wilcox, Keith W
    • Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher
    • Must be a US citizen


Product Design and Development Scholarships: (PDD)

  • Haas, Gene 
    • Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
    • Must be enrolled full or part-time
  • Hanson, Christopher & Carolyn
    • Must be a US citizen
    • Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
    • Must be working at least 12 hours per week or be involved in the university’s work study program
  • MMET Campaign Scholarship
    • Must be a US citizen
    • Must attend at least 6 credit hours per semester or more
    • Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher
    • Must be a Junior or Senior

Manufacturing Engineering Technology Scholarships: (MFET)

  • Auerbach, Gerald
    • Must be a US citizen
    • Must attend at least 12 credit hours per semester
    • Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
    • Must show a commitment to volunteer work through involvement in university and community service activities
  • Butler MfET Scholarsip
    • Must be either US or South American born
    • Must attend at least 12 credit hours per semester
    • Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
    • Must be a Junior or Senior
  • Haas, Gene 
    • Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
    • Must be enrolled full or part-time

    • Must be a member in good standing of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) student chapter
  • Tobin, Kerry & Shanna Family Scholarship
    • Must be a US citizen
    • Must attend at least 9 credit hours per semester
    • Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
    • Preference will be given to current Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø student chapter officers
  • Wold C & J Sr. Engineering Technology Scholarship
    • Must be a US citizen
    • Must attend at least 6 credit hours per semester or more
    • Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher


Mechanical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Technology Scholarships: (ME and MET)

  • Wally & Molly Armstrong MET Scholarship 
    • Must be a US citizen
    • Must be a MET student
    • Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
    • Must have financial need-FAFSA required
    • Preference will be given to Juniors and Seniors

    • Must be a US citizen
    • Must attend have a declared major in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
    • Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
    • Preference given to underrepresented populations.
  • Wold C & J Sr. Engineering Technology Scholarship
    • Must be a US citizen
    • Must attend at least 6 credit hours per semester or more
    •  Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
