What's Next After Acceptance
(New Students)
After you've been accepted, the steps below will help guide you on what you need to do next as a New Wildcat.
-
STEP 1 Create eWeber Account
Once you’ve received your ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø acceptance letter, create your eWeber account.
The eWeber portal is each ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø student’s online student portal. Your eWeber account allows you to:- Register for classes

- Access your student email account
- Check your financial aid status
- Pay tuition
- Review your grades
-

- This deposit will be applied to your first semester tuition.
- If you defer your admission to the next semester, the deposit will be carried forward accordingly for one semester only.
** U.S. TRANSFER STUDENTS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO PAY THIS DEPOSIT.

-
STEP 3 SEVIS Fees & Visa
At this point you should have received your admission letter and I-20/DS-2019. Your next steps are to:
- . Bring your receipt to your visa interview.
- Apply and for your visa interview.
Preparing for Your Visa Interview
- Your SEVIS fee receipt
- Your Weber State acceptance letter
- Your I-20 or DS-2019
- Visa appointment confirmation
- Visa appointment payment confirmation receipt
- Passport: valid for travel to the US & validity date at least 6 months beyond your intended period of stay in the US
- Transcripts, diplomas, test scores, financial evidence, etc.
-
STEP 4 Orientation, Placement Testing & Registration
- . This must be completed before you arrive on campus and before you can register for classes.
- Register for classes. Please or program of study for extra assistance. (It will be more challenging to find classes you want to take if you wait until your arrival to register for classes.
- Placement Tests: You are not required to take the Accuplacer placement test for English unless you wish to place into ENGL 2010. If you choose to test, you must test online prior to arrival or during the week before classes begin to ensure proper placement before the first day of class. Students may only test once. Please do not attempt to test more than once. Limiting the number of testing attempts ensures fair placement for all English learners. Students who do not test, or who do not place into ENGL 2010, will enroll in the ENGL 1010/WLC 2040/UNIV1106 paired courses — no testing required for this pathway. Math placement Testing is highly encouraged for students majoring in the College of Business, College of Engineering, or the College of Science.
- Attend mandatory on-campus International Student Orientation, as a condition of your I-20. Please see your admission email with the time and location.
-
STEP 5 Housing & Transportation
Housing
Once you have received your visa, you may apply for housing. Housing fills up quickly so we recommend applying as soon as possible. If you plan to live off campus, please make sure you make all the necessary arrangements as soon as possible.
Transportation
Make transportation arrangements:
- See a transportation help video on
- Transportation may be available for new students. Please contact intladmissions@weber.edu for more details.
