2026 Spanish Spelling Bee and Language Talent Competition

The competition is for students in grades 4th-8th and is hosted by the Department of Foreign Languages and the ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø Sigma Delta Pi (National Hispanic Honor Society) chapter. Our goals are (1) to promote the Spanish language overall, as well as bilingual education; (2) to broaden the students’ vocabulary, and to improve and advance the skills associated with good spelling habits in Spanish; (3) to heighten the students’ literacy and public speaking skills; (4) to empower elementary and junior high students by providing opportunities to develop and showcase their academic and linguistic skills.
