    Anneli Byrd

Hello! My name is Anneli Byrd. I grew up in Salt Lake, but have lived in several states. I'm glad to finally be settled in beautiful Ogden with my husband and spoiled cat, Orange. I love to travel and have a million interests and hobbies so I'm sure we have something in common. My favorite thing to do is to learn, so Weber is the perfect place for me. I've been here for 17 years and never get tired of hearing about the dreams of our students and helping them to make their dreams come true.

Hi! My name is Katelyn Cooper. I've been advising for four years, with the last two at Weber State. I'm originally from Utah County, but I have come to love Ogden and the Weber community! Getting to meet with students and explore how to make their college experience interesting, welcoming, and the best path for them is my favorite part of my job. In my spare time, I'm usually watching movies or finding fun local restaurants with my spouse, studying history, or knitting something.

Hola! My name is Alicia Blackard.  I’ve been involved with Weber State since 2022, first as a parent, now as a General Studies and Exploratory Advisor. I enjoy helping students find their path here at Weber and encouraging them through their journey. On a personal note, I love the outdoors (due to my background is in Natural Resources) and visiting my family in Peru. The beach is my happy place, and I can always find time to read a good book with a strong cup of coffee.

My name is Julie Larsen and I've been a part of the Weber State community for almost a year. :) I was born and raised in Cache Valley and first attended college at Utah State University. During the COVID pandemic my program was sunsetted and I transferred to Brigham Young University to complete my degree in Asian Studies with an emphasis in Japan and a minor in History. I worked as an ESL teacher during my time at BYU and I experienced a lot of the issues that come with transferring to another University. Taking my experience working in education and inspired by the help my academic advisors were I began working in education first through the University of Utah and now here at Weber State. I love it here at Weber and am excited to continue helping students to find the pathway forward for them.
