SAS Student Experience Committee
Purpose:
The purpose of the committee is to better understand pain points for students throughout the student lifecycle and find ways to fix problems and enhance the student experience.
Goals:
- Gather student insights by running small focus groups each semester, bringing together a broad range of students to learn directly what’s working and where they hit snags.
- This group will also analyze the belonging survey data. Spot and prioritize barriers by collecting feedback on confusing processes, missing services, or tech hiccups; rank issues by impact and feasibility. A few times per year, recommend the top few barriers for SASC to tackle.
- Monitor engagement and outreach during key moments (e.g., midterms, before registration), review engagement data, and connect with students who may need extra support or guidance, and reach out to students who have not yet engaged.
