Percussion Ensemble

March to the beat of your own drum

³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø’s Percussion Ensemble, under the direction of Sam Bryson (jacobbryson@weber.edu), prepares a distinct program each semester including percussion chamber, percussion orchestra, and world percussion ensembles.

Students explore rhythm and beat through a variety of instruments and musical genres. Percussion ensemble performances often feature marimba quartets, percussion quintets, Pantastica (³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø’s own steel pan ensemble), and works for large percussion ensembles.

Membership in the ³Ô¹Ï¹ÙÍø Percussion Ensemble is by audition or consent of the instructor. Participation fulfills the chamber ensemble requirement for music majors and can be repeated seven times with a maximum of eight credit hours.
