New Lab for the Department of Health Sciences

We are thrilled to announce the opening of our newly renovated Health Sciences Lab, a state-of-the-art facility designed to transform the way our students learn Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathophysiology.

The upgraded lab space is equipped with an incredible lineup of interactive tools and specimens, including: Anatomage cadaver tables for high-tech anatomy exploration; plastinated cadaveric prosections & comparative dissections for authentic, real-tissue study; 3D printing capabilities used to print precise anatomical structures that students can handle and inspect directly; and high-powered microscopes and physiological testing equipment for physiology experiments.

This new space fundamentally changes the lab experience. For our students, this environment fosters a high-energy, collaborative space where they work in teams to analyze data, discuss complex physiological processes, and perform experiments and dissections.

“The new Health Sciences lab is designed to transform how our students learn by creating a more interactive and collaborative environment,” says Justin Burr, Chair of the Department of Health Sciences. “Through structured, team-based workstations with integrated technology and instrumentation, students strengthen their understanding of course content while also developing essential skills in critical thinking, scientific reasoning, communication, and teamwork that translate directly to clinical and professional settings.”

The impact of this lab extends far beyond exam scores. Using this updated lab space, our Health Sciences students are developing the durable skills modern healthcare employers demand most.
