Jim Crockett, PE, has 28 years of experience in the HVAC industry, including 18 years specializing in energy efficiency. At Bernhard, Jim serves as a Senior Energy Engineer, leading HVAC energy efficiency projects worldwide and providing technical guidance to Bernhard’s engineering staff and Monitoring-Based Commissioning program.
He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Southern Methodist University. Jim is a registered Professional Engineer in AZ, CA, FL, ID, KS, MT, NM, TX, UT, and WA. He has presented at numerous industry conferences and was awarded the 2021 AEE Region V Engineer of the Year. Jim has also published several industry articles. His recent article, ""Maintaining Chiller Efficiency: Lessons Learned from a Hospital Study,"" published in the International Journal of Energy Management, was recognized as the 2023 AEE Best Article of the Year.
